The topic of Month 7 is POWER:
Oh, man this is a fun month in training. Who doesn’t like feeling powerful, and even better, actually being powerful? We’re going to increase your physical power this month. And kudos to you for building solid foundations the last 6 months. You can reuse these training plans over and over throughout your life as you want to run back through a specific emphasis and make sure you are a well-rounded athlete. Alright, so what does power mean, exactly, in terms of training? Understand the difference between strength and power. Strength is overcoming resistance.
Power is overcoming resistance- fast. So power training focuses on overcoming resistance in the shortest period of time.
This plan includes a home friendly and a gym (advanced) version, demo video exercises & fillable PDF to track progress!
Here's the equipment you will need: dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine ball, slides (or a towell), bench or box.
2. LEVEL UP™ NUTRITION IS A STRATEGIC MONTH BY MONTH PROCESS TO LEVEL UP YOUR NUTRITION.
The topic of Month 7 is BLOOD SUGAR + METABOLISM:
As you can see, we are not doing keto here in Level Up. In case you’ve been wondering why that is (if you know I’m a keto specialist), it’s because I don’t believe most people NEED to do keto.
You can become very insulin sensitive through resistance training, cardio, HIIT, eating higher protein and fiber, and especially if you add intermittent fasting to that mix. And it’s nice to not restrict an entire macronutrient (carbs) if you don’t have to, because we get into a “lifestyle” flow of healthy eating that is sustainable long term.
This plan will help you calculate your own calories & macros to adapt the program to meet your specific needs!
